Membership of A4A
Action for Advocacy are currently reviewing the terms and conditions of a4a Membership. During this time, membership registrations have been suspended. Please keep checking this part of the website for updates (March 2012). Action for Advocacy launched it's new membership scheme in October 08, designed to give advocacy providers the opportunity of increasing their involvement within the organisation and influence the future development of the sector.
According to Rick Henderson Chief Executive of A4A;
"The membership scheme will ensure we continue to accurately reflect the real needs of a growing and diverse advocacy sector. A lot of people feel very strongly about A4A's work and have asked to become more involved; this scheme is one way of formalising the voice of advocacy providers and creating a structure in which to belong."
There are two categories of membership:
- Organisations that provide advocacy
- Individuals who are not employees of advocacy schemes but support the aims of A4A
