Financial Systems and Reporting Issues for Advocacy Managers and Trustees. Run in partnership with Charity Business.
This is a high level two day course aimed at Senior Managers or Trustees who are involved with the organisations finances. It is designed to look beyond the figures themselves, and to help you make better use of the information you receive, both internally and externally.
- Why Produce and Keep Financial Records: Who uses them and how/why? What is the law? What is best practice? Should you always reveal everything?
- Internal (Management) Systems: What is the role of the Treasurer? What reports should be produced and when? Do you need a dedicated finance role? What can go wrong?
- External Reports: Why have an independent review or audit? What will your auditor be looking for? What should go in the Trustees Report?
- Costing and Budgeting: What does it cost to provide one hour of advocacy? How can you be sure you are not underselling your service?
We will be running this course four times, free of charge - funded by The Baring Foundation:
Sheffield 2nd and 3rd November 2010
Booking Form Sheffield
